The order of steps

Choose an approved facility
Only an approved dismantling facility may issue the certificate of destruction.

Keep the plates
Take both number plates and the Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I home with you.

Reveal the codes
Only after that, and only after ordering with us.

We deregister
With the certificate of destruction it becomes a deregistration with a disposal record.

Why the plates have to come with you
Without both plates and their seals you cannot get to two of the three security codes. If the facility puts them into the press together with the car, online deregistration is no longer possible and you have to call the facility again.
